GigabyteA gigabyte is 2 to the 30th power, or 1,073,741,824 bytes.
GIFGIF is acronym for 'Graphic Image Format'. GIF files are smaller in size as they use a maximum of 256 colors.
GIGOStands for "Garbage In, Garbage Out." It means that if invalid data or garbage is entered in a computer program, the resulting output will also be invalid data or garbage.
GoogleGoogle is the world's most popular search engine.
GPUGPU is acronym for a 'Graphics Processing Unit'. GPU is used primarily for 3D applications,
GUIGUI is acronym for "Graphical User Interface." It refers to the graphical interface of a computer that allows users to click and drag objects with a mouse instead of entering text as a command line as in the case of DOS operating system.
HackerHacker refers to someone who unauthorizedly gains access to other computers.

HardwareComputer hardware refers to the physical parts of a computer and related devices. Internal hardware devices include motherboards, hard drives, RAM, CD/DVD drives, processor etc. External hardware devices include monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, scanners etc. Please see "Know Your Computer Hardware" for details.
Head1. Head is the part of a disk drive that reads data from the magnetic surface and writes to it.
2. Head is the section of a program and web page that has information of type, creation and modification of the program/web page.
Heat SinkA computer processor performs millions of calculations every second. As it continues to work at a rapid pace, it begins to generate heat. If this heat is not kept in check, the processor could overheat and destroy itself/motherboard. Therefore, a heat sink is installed over the processor, which dissipates the heat from the processor and prevents it from overheating and destroying itself.
HighlightWhen a text/image is selected by mouse, it changes background color, it is said to be highlighted. The highlighted text/image becomes ready for change/cut/copying.
HitHit is a single user accessing a single file from a web server.
Home Page1. It is 'front screen' or the 'first page' of a web site.
2. It also refers to the default page loaded by a browser on start.
HostA computer that acts as a server for other computers on the network.
HoverWhen a cursor moves over a link, it is said to be hovering over the link.
HTMLHTML is acronym for "Hyper Text Markup Language" It is the language for writing web pages.
HTTPHTTP is acronym for 'Hyper Text Transfer Protocol and is used for transfer of data over world wide web. Therefore, all web addresses begin with "http://".
HubIt is a hardware device used for networking of computers.
HyperlinkA hyperlink, also referred to as 'link', is a word, phrase, or image on a web page that a user can click on to move to a new document or a new section within the same document. Hyperlinks or links allow users to click their way from page to page.
HypertextIt is text containing hyperlinks or links to other documents.
