Form 15G in Excel / Fillable PDF

Declaration under sub-sections (1) and (1A) of section 197A of the Income-tax Act, 1961, to be made by an individual or a person (not being a company or a firm) claiming certain receipts without deduction of tax

Who can submit Form 15G

Persons who satisfy all under-noted conditions can submit form 15G to Bank / Office to avoid Tax Deduction at Source (TDS) on their interest income:
  1. Resident Individuals below 60 years of age (if you are above 60 years of age, you can submit form 15H, if other-wise eligible)
  2. Taxable income is not more than ₹ 250,000/-.
  3. Interest income on deposits is not more than ₹ 250,000/-

If interest income on Bank / Post Office deposits is less than ₹ 10,000/-, you need not submit form 15G to your Bank / Post Office as TDS on interest income shall be deducted if interest income is more than ₹ 10,000/-.
